To get to Tanana, one flies through Fairbanks. My airline to Tanana has been Warbelow. In the village, I recommend staying at Tanana Commercial. It is a B & B right at the bank of the Tanana River, above the grocery, and about two blocks from the school. The hosts, Cynthia and Dale, are very accomodating. You can keep food in their kitchen and they fix you dinner! There is a separate living area with television and three different bedrooms to accomodate about seven people. Tanana can be cold in winter and muddy as it thaws. When you are flying out, call your air carrier for pick up time and make sure you have a ride.
